Dear Friends,
First let me tell you how much I appreciate you and how thankful I am to count you as friends and members of my team. You make it possible for me to do what I am doing. Thank you Jesus for this family that You bless and that You have blessed me with.
Last trip: The last group had seven children and nine adults - the youngest was seven months old. When they left their home in northern BC, it was -35. The chilly Mexican mornings didn't bother them at all!!
We went to the village of San Francisco to do an open air outreach and distribute bags of food. We are always a welcome sight.
We shared a few short testimonies, three of the children (10 year old twins and their 13 year old sister sang a beautiful worship song in three part harmony. And then I gave a short message highlighting ,"...twice born, die once, once born, die twice..." And gave an invitation to those who might want the second birth. One person responded. And then I opened the invitation to all who might want to have prayer for health, finances, family, etc. At that, about 20 came forward. That confirmed for me that they were listening and not just mechanically responding.
Next trip March 17:
I am leading 94 people - three groups. They are coming from: Chico, Arkansas and Abbotsford BC. We will be building seven houses. The BC group is coming down in a big, yellow school bus...quite the trip. Please pray for us. I'll let you know how it goes.
And on another note: This is the 153rd day since the unexpected, surprise, attack on Israel and the capture of the hostages. 135 of whom (dead or alive) are still in captivity. Since the day after that brutal assault I have felt the Lord's call to identify with the people of Israel...my people. Suzanne and I have faithfully prayed, watched the news and heard the daily reports. I'm feeling that it is time for me to do more. I'm feeling that Jesus is asking me to go to Israel, just to be there, to pray, to experience, to feel. I'm making plans to go for two weeks in May. This will be a solo trip. Suzanne doesn't feel that she should be going at this time. This is not a decision that I make lightly. We don't like to be separated. I don't like going places without her. But I feel that I am to obey. Please pray with and for me. If you hear something from the Lord, please tell me.
I will keep you updated and give you the details when I have them.
Lots of love to each one of you and may you experience God's goodness and His favour towards you,
asher

The family home 2023
Nicolasa and family - January 2017
April 12, 2020 -- We were saddened to learn that Nicolasa passed away earlier this year; her family is still living in the house.
From Asher:
I first met Nicolass because she was being ministered to by a nurse (Angelina) at the Orphanage (Foundation For His Ministry). Angelina had been bringing food and hygiene supplies to Nicolass and her family for more than three years. We first stepped in to repair the roof of the shack she was living in and then we were asked if we would build for her, and that's when you stepped in...Thank You Jesus!
In her quiet and unassuming way Nicolasa provided a safe place for her family. Thank you again for serving her. You went above and beyond by first building and then paying off her land and helping her get birth certificates for her children.
