Dear friends and partners in ministry,
I know the subject line has you scratching your head....so here goes. The numbers have to do with the events of my last MX trip...two weeks ago.
The 3 has to do with the number of people who gave their hearts to the Lord. One couple for whom we built a house, gladly accepted Jesus after I shared with them that Christ gave His life for them. I also explained that He was God's free gift to us; a sacrifice that changed our lives and changed the world. Just as they, by choice and desire accepted the house that we built for them, they could by choice and desire accept Christ, with no strings attached and receive life eternal. They agreed that this was a pretty good deal and received Jesus. The smile on their face, after we prayed, was a mixture of gratitude and understanding.
The third person to come to Christ was a young man who came on the trip with his family. We were at church on Wednesday evening and enjoying some spirit filled worship when he came to me and said he wanted to be saved. We were on the stage at the front of the church. The music was loud, the singing was loud but the Lord provided a bubble for us. I was able to talk with him and to make sure that he understood what he was asking for. And then I led him in prayer. Hallelujah!!!
The 4 has to do with the number of houses that we built and the four families that are now living in very changed circumstances. What an amazing blessing it is to be able to provide a house for people who have been living under a leaky roof, on a dirt floor, sharing a bed, or sleeping on a sheet of cardboard on the ground. And now they each have a bed and a bed-room. Their roof does not leak. They have windows and they have a door that locks. And best of all, they see a physical manifestation of an answered prayer. They see the physical evidence of God's love. They can touch this proof that God has not forgotten them.
Those of you who have had a part in building and dedicating a house, know exactly what I'm talking about!!!!
And the 10, has to do with the number of Friday afternoon baptisms on the beach. The young man who received Jesus on Wednesday was the first to come into the water. And nine others followed. For some it was a first time experience and for others it was a symbolic act of rededication with full understanding. We had the additional blessing of a sunny afternoon and warmish water.
What a week. What a wonderful miracle filled week. To see the changes that took place in the Mexican and American families is such an encouragement and a confirmation of the value of this ministry. We, all together, are truly involved in life changing and nation discipling as we dedicate ourselves to knowing God and making Him known.

Next week Suzanne and I will be in Chico where I will be speaking on the topic of hearing the voice of God. Always an exciting time, a time of seeing eyes open wide with understanding and appreciation. "What????God talks to me?!?!?! How is this possible???" Well, it's possible because Jesus says, "...my sheep hear my voice..."
May God bless you richly and may you experience the joy of answered prayer and of conversation with our Lord and maker.

The family home 2023
April 12, 2020 -- We were saddened to learn that Nicolasa passed away earlier this year; her family is still living in the house.
From Asher:
I first met Nicolass because she was being ministered to by a nurse (Angelina) at the Orphanage (Foundation For His Ministry). Angelina had been bringing food and hygiene supplies to Nicolass and her family for more than three years. We first stepped in to repair the roof of the shack she was living in and then we were asked if we would build for her, and that's when you stepped in...Thank You Jesus!
In her quiet and unassuming way Nicolasa provided a safe place for her family. Thank you again for serving her. You went above and beyond by first building and then paying off her land and helping her get birth certificates for her children.
